So i kinda finished the model quite some time back.. texturing took me awhile and Diablo took most of the week away..

Anyways i finished rigging the low poly model but i am contemplating rigging the high poly model. Shouldn’t be too hard but now i need to tweak the shaders for the low poly as it looks a bit flat.

By the way, the high poly textures for the armor.. fully procedural.. only the face is texture painted.

I am way behind in my reel but i can always put together older materials. I just want this reel to look better than previous reels.

Mass Effect N7 Armor Update 02

Ok finally finished the high poly modeling of the N7 outfit. I am left with texturing and creating a low poly version for the reel. Before that however i might work on other models just to have enough substance for the reel. Hoping to get it all done before the end of May. Things are going slightly slower than planned but its getting there!


Mass Effect N7 Armor Update 01

So i finished my self portrait and moved on the making the armored suit. Decided against designing my own since it took me the whole of Monday to come up with something decent.. and it was only the top half. So i settled on making a N7 armor from Mass Effect. At the moment i am just about finishing the proxy layout for the armor pieces and going into high resolution detailing for the armor. Hopefully i can finish the modeling by end of the week. Still needs to be textured and made into a low poly version.

I have thoughts on the next low poly model. I have decided to make a No one lives forever tribute. A very old but memorable game for me. I am still wishing it would get picked up for a remake in HD, so i decided to do one myself. At least just a visualisation on how it would look like in current gen tech.


Self Portrait Updates

So i have been working on a self portrait ever since i stopped working a couple weeks back. Gonna be using this head in future projects as well because.. well i can.

Niwaes here are some updates. Not really satisfied with it but will tweak it as i go along.. giving it by the end of the week to move on to next few projects for my modeling reel.

So the competition is over and i did manage to finish the model although it’s  not the best i could do. I did learn a lot within this month and a half so the next model will hopefully be better.  I will be tweaking and adding more details to this model as i will pair him up with Faye Valentine for the final piece for my reel. And i was thinking for the project after this, i would do a realistic human. Namely a self portrait. Which i think is a good idea, but am wondering if i should be doing a known celebrity instead? Anyways, i am looking into joining the 11 sec for the rest of this month. And hopefully my Ipad 3 comes tomorrow!

Cowboy Bebop Project WIP 03

I haven’t updated in a while but i have been updating the forum where this challenge is held though. Anyways here is what’s been happening:

Basically been working on the head of my character. Things are not looking top notch at the moment but i hope to make it so by the end of the competition which is in 2 weeks time. *cross fingers*
